EDIT 7/29/09: Changed Teuates' voice yet again. I've also decided both "real" voice and telepathic voice are basically the same, except the telepathic voice has some whispering voices with it. Also added his female voice.
EDIT 7/7/09: Owen's personality has changed entirely, therefore his music has also changed. Everything from before no longer represents him, but it does document who he used to be. Only one song for his "new self" for now.
EDIT 3/26/09: Changed Teuates' real voice to something entirely different.

I ended up writing this kind of on accident but I'm glad I did. My writing is nothing spectacular but I really like the way I wrote this, even if it's leaving out quite a few details. It at least explains his life, so I'm happy. :D Figured I'd share it with you all. <3 I need to do this for each of my characters, dfkljsdkljfg. First I need to finish rewriting some of them. Oh, speaking of that... Memento and Owen are getting new background stories. But that's for another time!

BOOKS! I HAVE PURCHASED THEM!
 
I'm really excited about feeling motivated to just... learn stuff. For a long time the desire for knowledge has eluded me, odd because as a child all I wanted was to know more and more. I don't really know what happened in that gap, but it seems the desire for education is returning at last! I'm especially excited about the astronomy book, it looks like it has everything I want to know in it. :3
I'm looking for a good physiology book with lots of pictures too, but I haven't really begun the search for that just yet. I found a nice one with lots of pictures at the bookstore, but it had way more than just physiology, which was all stuff I wasn't too interested in at the moment, not for the price of the book. Like 25 dollars or something for this huge massive book, but I only wanted a tiny portion of it. ;_;
I hope this desire doesn't fade, it could be the start of something awesome for me. Especially in terms of artstuff, since part of why I keep repeating the same things in art is that I don't feel like I'll be able to grasp the knowledge of new things. Like I'm too stupid to be able to learn anything new. Wanting to learn stuff, even if it isn't art related, is a start.
That's been bothering me for a very long time. Feeling too stupid to learn anything, which keeps me from trying. I'm sure I come off as a pretty dumb person in the way I get excited about things, the way I generally talk... but I do think there's a little more depth to me than I tend to let on. It's nothing fantastical though, just enough intelligence to be able to consider myself not totally idiotic. Haha. |

| Delicious peanut butter cookie recipe! |

My mother-in-law gave me this recipe and I love it so much I figured I'd share it. :3 They turn out really rich and gooey, even long after coming out of the oven. They are a bit light so you can eat a bunch of them without feeling icky. Problem is... they're addictive. Once I run out I find myself desperate for more! Haha.
1 box yellow cake mix (Duncan Hines is good!)
1 cup peanut butter (I use JIF)
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
Toss everything in a bowl and stir until ingredients are completely mixed. Place in ping-pong ball sized balls on greased cookie sheet. Gently press balls down with warm, wet fork in two different directions. (Have a cup of warm water by to wet it after pressing each cookie.)
8-10 minutes at 350° or until edges are golden brown. Center of cookies should NOT be brown. Cookies will be extremely gooey, leave them on sheet until they are cooled.
Tip: Grease your fingers a bit before shaping the mix, it's super sticky!

Holy fucking shit I've been playing Spore and fffsdfidfsdfsdf I HAVE SUDDEN HUGE, HUGE SCI-FI HARDON. LIKE MASSIVE. UGGGHH I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH FUFDIOFDF Listening to Tiesto at the same time just makes it so much more epic.
This game also made me realize just how little of the universe we as humans actually understand, or think we understand. There is this huge, vast blackness out there - and we're just a tiny spec amongst it all. That's pretty overwhelming and stunning for me to think about, just how huge and unexplored the universe is to us. I can't even describe the feeling except that it makes me feel intensely exhilarated. The possibilities for life are literally endless and for some reason the thought of that makes me squeal like I'm 5 again. Wait, I squeal like I'm 5 almost 50 times a day...
With all this stuff on my mind I've been thinking about engott a lot too. Designing things, reworking old less interesting details into something a bit more exciting, changing characters, adding new characters, etc. There's so much to think about that it almost wears me down, but I enjoy it nonetheless. In fact I feel completely enthralled about the whole thing that I have to consciously control myself to keep from bursting into laughter just from the joy alone. Is it possible for happiness to cause madness, I wonder? If so, uhh.. I might be screwed.
Speaking of happiness, I've never been so happy before in my life! Much as it sucked for Chris and I to have the problems we had months ago, I'm seriously grateful for it. The whole learning experience, painful as it was, taught me SO much. I'm certain without that experience I wouldn't be as happy as I am now. It's incredible how just changing my outlook changed my life. Though it has kind of made me a simple person too. I don't think there's anything wrong with getting super retardedly happy over the little things though.. even if it does appear kind of silly and weird to others. I guess once you've nearly lost everything you have, everything you've ever known, you learn to appreciate it a hell of a lot more.
I hope that someday in my lifetime, commerical flight into space becomes possible. I think that is my biggest dream aside from my headworld becoming something bigger than it is now.

TOO CUTE. The blue one is for Chris, the green one is mine. Menwy on Etsy made them, but if you know how to crochet there's patterns all over the place. I think the one used for these two cutelings was this one with black safe eyes instead of the ones you see there. I wish I knew how to crochet, I'd make thousands. >:C Must learn.

Yep yep. The first few hours of it (like 12am-4am) ROCKED! My husband and I discussed some major epic stuff about engott and our story and all. Then we had birthday sex. >_>; But after that it was lame, went to some anime convention because his friends wanted to and it.. ugh.. just totally sucked. I can't wait to go to the Ren faire tomorrow to wash off the awful and ew that is bad cosplayers.
Also, since our yard is all fucked because a truck crashed into our tree the other day, we're probably not getting any trick-or-treaters. ;_; Prefer they stay off our lawn anyway, lest they trip and fill in the big huge tire holes. Oh well, next year Chris and I plan to play chess on the lawn with our dogs and a huge bowl of candy... while dressed as engott. >:3 Custom silicone masks, hell yes.

TITTIES
I didn't expect to have so much fun. I mean, I did, but... not as much as I did. I've never been to any sort of trance/dance/electronica/whatever show before so I didn't really know what to expect aside from a lot of people dancing. It was amazing. Totally different than the metal concerts I'm used to. Everyone looked so happy. Probably 95% of the crowd was dancing... including Chris and I. Yes, CHRIS DANCED. Hell, I danced. I dance very mildly to begin with but uh.. I couldn't resist it then. >_> Dancing reintroduced me to my hips, butt and bewbs. SHAKE THEM BITCHES. There was one dude in front of us that danced the entire way through the show. That's like.. 4+ hours. He was shirtless and dripping sweat at the end and his pants were soaked. He was fun to watch. :3
Oh man, if Tiesto ever comes back I am totally going again. Really damn good show. Chris loved the hell out of it, I really didn't expect that at all. He didn't seem to like trance or anything a lot prior to that concert, but now he's like, "TIESSTTOOOO NEED MOAR." I'VE CONVERTED HIM, WOOT WOOT.
Whatever they were playing prior to the actual concert was really fucking good too. Trying to figure out what it was. AUGH MUST HAVE IT. UGH UGH UGH IT WAS SO AWESOME, GUISE. SO AWESOME. FUCKING. SHIT. MOAR! MOAR!
I need a music icon, Mem with big headphones looking all lost in the beats! Anyone wanna do it all quick like? I has teh monays. :3
Annnnd my birthday is next Saturday, yayay. Looking forward to being 22, not for any particular reason though. ANNND Ren faire tomorrow again, so exciiiited. AND BATMAN TONIGHT. OLD ANIMATED BATMAN SERIES I GREW UP ON, YES PLZ. Totally making a super hero character, just you wait.

MAAAAN having Damien around was LKDJSKLDJSKLJHslfk tons of fucking fun. >:| I miss him so bad and he's only been gone a few hours.
First night he was here we went and saw Zombieland, which was awesome. The face at the end - you know the one - ROFFFFFL. The next day we went downtown and did a few things, one of which was get him tattooed. :D He now has two black bands around his right wrist. Looks fucking awesome and was highly entertaining to watch, even if for a while I was about to pass out in my husband's crotch. >_> The tattoo artist (Micah) I recommended seemed to enjoy doing the work and I think Damien enjoyed his work. Apparently since I've recommended this artist to a few people and got him work, he wants to discount me for any tattoo I might want in the future. Hell yeah! I really want some work from him, just uh.. can't settle on the design of my next tattoo and where to put it. But I'll talk about that later.
Sunday we went to the Ren faire. I um.. spent a lot more money than I intended to, like I always do at the Ren faire. I got a black leather underbust corset, which uh.. UH.. I think it looks really hot. <_<; Got a cute little hat, some baggy ass green pants, a red skirt, a bag and a little fox tail to pet as I walk. Something about having soft things to touch. I think that's all I got. I can't remember. LKDJSKLJDKLSD Damien got a nice leather bag, a leather-bound sketchbook and a few things for his husband. It was a wonderful cool day, not at all too hot nor too cold. The perfect day for the faire and it just happened to be the one with Damien here. Wonderful bit of luck there. :D After that we pretty much just hung out at the house and watched a lot of TV and played SH3. AND HE MADE SOME DELICIOUS PASTA AND DELICIOUS BACON THAT JUST THINKING ABOUT MAKES ME WANT TO WET MY PANTS AUUUGH SPICES OF LOVE
I had a great time and the whole experience made me insanely fucking happy. >:| Damien, I love the shit out of you, omfg. You're so damn fun to be around, fuuuu. COME BACK SOON, OH GOD. SDFKLJGKLDFJGDFKLGJ

Please forgive me, auuugh I am so sorry for the lateness. Unfortunately, being lame like I am, I don't have any gifts... I'm so bad about birthdays and Christmas and stuff, bleh. I hope you all had wonderful birthdays anyway! EDIT: I'm sure I've missed other people in the past. Don't feel left out! I'm so bad about this sort of thing, this is just the beginning of me trying to get better at it. Please don't be mad at me, I'm just so scatter-brained and stupid and my memory is absolutely horrible. ;_; I never mean to hurt any feelings, I'm just.. really really scatter-brained.
Figured I'd do a little update thing since I uh.. kind of rarely say much about how my life is here. I feel kind of lame and/or stupid for doing so. Like no one cares about the silly details of my life? Blah, whatever. Anyway, Tuesday I am getting a haircut. This is a big deal for me because my hair is nearly past my butt. Every time I get a haircut when it's this length it's pretty weird. When I wash my hair I'm like, "WHAT? IT ENDS THERE? BUT I REMEMBER IT BEING IN MY HANDS FOR FOUR SECONDS, NOT TWO!" I'll get probably about.. uh.. five inches off? There's just too much hair, gets in my way all the time. ;_; I love it anyway though!
Been redecorating my house some... still not totally satisfied with it. >:| Can't seem to find the right rug for the living room. RUG, I WILL FIND YOU.. EVENTUALLY.
Extremely bored right now but don't feel like doing much, considering going and getting the Batman animated series because oh my god after beating Arkham Asylum I am all DKLSKLDJSD over Batman like I used to be. Chris picked out my clothes today and.. picked out my Batman pajama pants totally by accident. This amused me heartily. :D Anyway, I used to watch Batman at 4pm EVERY DAY when I was a kid. Miss iiiiit. Actually, yeah. I think I'll go get it now. Oh man oh man oh man, that one episode with Killer Croc.. YES PLEASE.
BATMAN IS SO AWESOME. He's not like many other super heroes. He's not even super. Just naturally badass. No special powers, no radioactive transformation... just pure fucking badass and win. Best of all he's badass because he learned to be. Puts all those other bitches to shame. "OH SO YOU HAVE POWAHS GIVEN TO YOU BY SOME EXPERIMENT... WELL I'VE GOT NONE OF THAT exceptmyniftyutilitybelt AND I STILL KICK YOUR ASS!" Oh, and sort of related, my vet (who is SO AWESOME) is OBSESSED with Batman. He has Batman stuff all around his office. That's fucking awesome, a vet that openly expresses his love for the Dark Knight. <333

| Dossian - Engott Language | Words and Phrases |

Engott do not speak English. They have their own language called Dossian. However, since it's too much of an issue to write their speech entirely of Dossian for what is probably obvious reasons (I mean, come on, that's too much effort for everyone >_>), they appear to speak English with the exception of some stand-out words, phrases, nouns and etc.
Common Words and Phrases
Graetka! = Greetings!
Muutka = Farewell
Muusi? = Please?
Saui raa. = Thank you.
Nabi raas. = You're welcome.
Raa veil vihil? = How are you?
Raa'il vout. = I'm good.
Raa'il beil. = I'm bad.
Visia suu. = Shit sucks.
Vout nichii! = Good day!
Vis! = Equivalent of "shit!" but not direct translation. Common curse word used to express annoyance or surprise.
Suah! = Literally "fuck!" (If you want to be naughty and say, "fuck me" you say, "suah rei." An insult would be, "suah raa.")
Vouto Tullaas = equivalent of, "your majesty, my lord" or any other phrase when speaking to a leader. This phrase is not gender specific. Use of this word is considered respectful, misuse of it very offensive.
Nouns and Titles
Essi = lesser engott; weakling. To call someone an essi is highly offensive.
Coo'ru = giant cephalopod creatures similar to an octopus. Produces electricity, commonly used as an energy source.
Cohbi = flying blue squid, serves as food for coo'ru.
Tullei = Descriptive title used only in reference to leaders. For example, Iddol is actually Tullei Iddol Jaanus and his father is Tullei Vansaaj Jaanus. (Kind of like how you'd say General Cawk N. Mahmouf or President McDurrhurr.)
Vasseil = used when directed only to an engott of higher standing; an official of some kind (eikki, Judovaal'ior) but never to a tullei. Use of this word is considered respectful, misuse of it very offensive.
Eikki = teachers, considered officials, generally somewhat close to Iddol as a result.
Edik'aan = learning center for engott in all subjects; the only school there is.
Judovaal'ior = a force of male-only peacekeepers, trained in combat and dehabiliating magic skills in order to control potential combat scenarios. Engott version of police. Judovaal'ior have become feared and distrusted, more violent and aggressive than Judovaal'ior of old (pre-Jaanus rule.)
Coouni = "Cooroom," the room where an engott keeps his coo'ru.
Cohuni = part of a home akin to a giant dome where cohbi are bred.
Pes'ahei = "beauty" or "beautiful." Often used to address women who the speaker finds attractive. A compliment.
Pui'ai = male form of pes'ahei.
Uoji = A common alcoholic beverage that makes ones senses a bit more sensitive, but keeps the mind clear. It tastes sweet and ends with a spicy flavor that lingers on the palette. Those who drink it are known to constantly rub their tongue on the roof of their mouth as the flavor is very enticing.
